What is My Place in the City?

Here at My Place in the City we’ll provide you with a bespoke home and property search service to help you through the whole process from initial consultation, to the collection of your keys to redesigning, decorating and turning your house into a home. The services we provide are for individuals, families, overseas buyers, buy-to-let investors, all looking for a place in the West London area.

 

Do we sell properties?

No, we work to serve the buyer not the seller.

 

Why should I use My Place in the City when estate agents are free?

Because estate agents work for and are paid by the seller and only have access to the properties they are instructed to sell. We can search the market more thoroughly than you can on your own and have access to properties that aren’t on the open market. We work solely for you, the buyer.

 

Should My Place in the City fees be considered an additional expense?

Not necessarily. Using My Place in the City is an investment that in most cases lowers the total price of the deal. Using the services we provide should be considered an investment that:

  1. saves you time and stress;
  2. speeds up what can be a long drawn out process; and
  3. aims to lower the completion price and help make the most from the property you’ve invested in.

Should I pay any initial fees to My Place in the City when I contract the service?

No, you will not pay any initial fees to My Place in the City when you contract the service, you will pay % success fee as follows;

  • Up to £1m purchase price
  • Retainer: £500
  • Success fee: 1% of the purchase fee.
  • Above £1m purchase price
  • Retainer: £500
  • Success fee: 0.5% of the purchase fee.
